Unfettered Thoughts

Won’t always be the most interesting of reads, but may be some good nuggets scattered throughout. This is more of mental practice for myself to see how I change over the years. When I take the time to journal regularly, I usually find a sharper mind and memory as the reward.

Friday 2/12/2021 - Power vs Long Term Planning

-As homes get more secular, and they lose the subjective life purpose of God, how do we avoid Power (money) taking over that void? Is knowledge the same as Power? Can humans find enough value in seeking the remaining unknown, and string to leave the world better than it was in our lifetime? Isn’t there an evolutionary drive to leave a biological legacy, and why hasn’t that helped long term benefits outweigh the short term addicted society we seem to live in now? Is this another side effect of social media models and other capitalistic modernaties? I suppose Power can’t be removed, we just have to do our best to keep it in good faith collective leader’s hands, instead of the 1% who currently hold all the levers.

-Short of cleaning, pictures, and spring time yard work, I think I will finish 47th St today. Especially if dad comes for an hour or two before lunch.

-Excited to leave for Cali without the stress of pre-rent work left at 47th. Perfect timing to build up schedule of showings and the actual listing. Probably means I need that hard drive? Lucky for cold weather to be able to wear layers and conserve packing space.
