My Life as a Shoe
Hello my name is Danny. I am a seven and a half Adidas shoe. From what I can see I’m white with three black stripes. My cool owner Daniel is the kid who picked me off the shelf. So I guess you can say that my life is pretty good so far.
At first Daniel used me for soccer. Man! He was really good. I mean he’s so fast and has real good ball control. Still when I was with him his team never won a game; good thing I was only with him for three games. At least all the kids thought I was cool.
Then as time moved on his school shoes got all torn up. So he replaced me with a real pair of soccer shoes. Well at least he didn’t throw me away. He then replaced his old school shoes with me. Luckily he still played soccer at school because it’s a real fun game. At least my life was still good.
Later on in life Daniel is planning to do track. It’s kind of good and kind of bad. The good thing is that running is fun. The bad thing is that it will wear me out faster. Oh well, I might not even be around that long. At least it’s not hockey because then he wouldn’t use me at all. All in all it’s still another year until he can do track.
I sure hope that Daniel will remember me forever. He is a really good kid. Maybe he will get another pair like me. That will probably remind him of me. To bad it also may make him forget me. Well, it doesn’t even matter, because I won’t even be around.
